The Whirlpool Steelhead 70.3 Triathlon is a qualifying race for the 2008 Ironman 70.3 World Championship Triathlon in Clearwater, Florida.

75 slots will be awarded to the top finishers for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship.

The Whirlpool Steelhead 70.3 Triathlon will be the only race in the Great Lakes region that will award slots to the Ironman 70.3 World Championship.
