2009 Whirlpool Ironman 70.3 Steelhead Triathlon

The Whirlpool Ironman 70.3 Steelhead Triathlon is a qualifying race for the 2009 Ironman 70.3 World Championship Triathlon in Clearwater, Florida, and 50 slots will be awarded to the top finishers for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship.

The Whirlpool Ironman 70.3 Steelhead Triathlon will be the only race in the Great Lakes region that will award slots to the Ironman 70.3 World Championship. Please go to www.ironman.com for information on the Ironman 70.3 World Championship Triathlon.

The 2009 Whirlpool Ironman 70.3 Steelhead Triathlon is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. To participate in the Whirlpool Ironman 70.3 Steelhead Triathlon, you must turn 18 years or older in 2009, and be a member of USAT or purchase a USAT Single event permit for $10. ATTENTION ATHLETES
It is not mandatory to rack your bikes on Friday afternoon. You will be able to rack them on either Friday, July 31, from 5:00 to 8:00pm OR on Saturday, August 1 (race morning) from 4:30 to 6:15am. Bikes will not be allowed into transition after 6:15am, so please adequate time to get to the race site. There will be NO race day packet pick up.
